ABOUT THE EVENT

WE HAVE CREATED THE RICHARD MILLE CUP TO CELEBRATE THE BEAUTY, EXCEPTIONAL DESIGN AND FINE WORKMANSHIP OF THE CLASSIC YACHTS STILL SAILING TODAY. A CHALLENGING RACE PROGRAMME SEES THESE YACHTS AND SAILORS IN THEIR ELEMENT.

THE RICHARD MILLE CUP IS NOW FIRMLY ESTABLISHED IN THE YACHTING CALENDAR FOR SAILING ENTHUSIASTS WORLDWIDE WHO WISH TO SHARE THEIR PASSION FOR THESE BEAUTIFUL BOATS.

At the heart of the regatta is a desire to create a challenging sporting event which pushes competitors across a range of coastal and offshore races, With all of the vessels built or designed before 1940 or faithful replicas, the Richard Mille Cup recreates the spectacle, sporting values and elegance of the regatta circuits of the pre-war years.

ROYAL CORNWALL YACHT CLUB

Falmouth

The Royal Cornwall Yacht Club has been a feature of Famouth's iconic harbour since 1871 and is a popular destination for many westward bound yachts that follow the regatta circuit after Cowes Week. Its association with 1930s Big Class boats is vividly preserved in the collection of racing flags presented to the club. Today it remains a vibrant club and hosts many national and international events.
